Position Function:
This position provides leadership in academic records evaluation by ensuring proper analysis of transcripts from various higher education institutions to determine the extent to which students have met course requirements for specific degrees and to maintain academic records for the university. This position is responsible also for overseeing Academic Records Evaluators to make sure work is performed in a timely and accurate manor.

Essential Duties and Responsibilities:
1. Manage Academic Records Evaluators2. Manage and process current and retro withdrawals and add/drops to insure correct refund percentage to the students account and financial aid.3. Verify the students tuition and fees are correct 4. Evaluate and process Military transcripts5. Enter and verify MSU work for students prior to Banner6. Evaluate and process Academic Amnesty and Fresh Start petitions.7. Process university grade changes8. Assist Academic Records employees with any transfer or official MSU transcript problems.9. Oversee all office activities for maintenance of student academic records.10. Confer with students and academic departments concerning academic record problems, University regulations, or related matters.11. Assists in planning and implementing office policies and procedures with approval of the supervisor.12. Analyze management methods and makes recommendations to improve work flow and to improve quality control.13. Assists the Coordinator with maintaining the office procedures manual.14. Perform related duties as assigned Supervisory Responsibility:This position may provide guidance and supervision to other non-exempt staff.
Minimum Qualifications:

Essential Duties and Responsibilities:
Primary responsibilities will include undergraduate and graduate teaching and advisement, supervision of practicum and internship, service, and outreach. This program is CACREP accredited, and faculty work closely with area schools, community colleges, and clinical settings. Students in the program obtain Master of Science and Educational Specialist degrees with concentrations in Clinical Mental Health or School Counseling. The division also offers a certificate in Addictions Counseling.
Minimum Qualifications:
Doctorate in Counselor Education from a CACREP accredited program; demonstration of excellence in teaching, and/or service (Associate Teaching Professor), or demonstration of potential for excellence in these areas (Assistant Teaching Professor). ABD's will be considered. Level of appointment is commensurate with qualifications and experience.
Preferred Qualifications:
Eligibility for licensure as a LPC in Mississippi or School Counselor in Mississippi; experience with CACREP accreditation; minimum of 3 years of experience in the counseling field; experience with teaching at the graduate level; experience teaching virtually or online; experience in addictions counseling.
Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities:
Knowledge of counselor education, counseling theories, ethical standards, and evidence-based practices. Knowledge of CACREP standards, counselor licensure requirements, and counselor preparation processes. Skill in teaching counseling courses in face-to-face, hybrid, and online formats. Skill in supervising practicum and internship students and evaluating professional competencies. Skill in advising, mentoring, and supporting graduate student populations. The Assistant Director of Business Operations is responsible for managing travel logistics, financial transaction processing, and reconciliation for the Department of Athletics.
