Position Function:
This position manages the multimedia aspects of educational technology for the College of Professional and Continuing Studies, working closely with the Center for Distance Education, the Center for Innovation in Teaching Excellence, and the Center for Continuing Education in addition to the faculty of CPCS.

Essential Duties and Responsibilities:
1. Manages the creation and maintenance of high-quality multimedia content such as videos, animations, podcasts, for interactive modules/courses.2. Oversees project management and production staff, including training and supervision.3. Assists with creating and presenting compelling and branded multimedia that supports CPCS’s strategic initiatives and marketing.4. Provides instructional design support for the CPCS, CDE, CITE, and CE.5. Partner with CPCS, CDE, CITE, and CE to analyze and implement strategies to advance initiatives through the innovative use of technology.6. Responsible for video and multimedia production, including pre-production meetings to determine project scope, production management, and project delivery.7. Leverages current and emerging technology in videography and editing to deliver finished products in alignment with project goals.8. Ensures consistently high-quality standards on all video productions, including digital accessibility best practices.9. Manages the implementation and ongoing maintenance of studio hardware and software, including any vendor relations.10. Gathers and maintains project assets and records.11. Maintains records of current and past projects.
Minimum Qualifications:
Bachelor's degree in a related fieldFive years of experience related to the duties and responsibilities outlined above

Master's degree in related field.

Working Conditions and Physical Effort
1. No unusual physical requirements. Requires no heavy lifting, and most work is performed in a comfortable indoor facility, but on occasions include outside activities. Travel is also necessary on occasions.2. Externally imposed deadlines; set and revised beyond one's control; interruptions influence priorities; difficult to anticipate nature or volume of work with certainty beyond a few days; meeting of deadlines and coordination of unrelated activities are key to position.3. Job frequently requires sitting, reaching, talking, hearing, handling objects with hands.4. Job occasionally requires standing, walking, stooping/kneeling/crouching/crawling, and lifting up to 15 pounds.5. Vision requirements: Ability to see information in print and/or electronically.

Department Profile:
Mississippi State University Police Department is charged with providing for the safety of all the students, faculty, staff, and guests who attend class, work, live, and visit our campus, and with the security of university buildings and property. Mississippi State University police officers are always working and available to assist you. The department provides a comprehensive array of law enforcement services through a dedicated staff of more than 36 sworn, state commissioned police officers and 10 full-time support personnel. All MSU Police officers are certified by the Mississippi Peace Officers Minimum Standards Commission and have the same authorities and must meet the same expectations as law enforcement officers in any community.

Essential Duties and Responsibilities:
Patrols assigned area checking for crimes, prowlers, fires, or other unusual, suspicious, or hazardous occurrences. Notifies supervisor and/or proper authorities of unusual, suspicious, or hazardous events. Regulates pedestrian and vehicular traffic; investigates traffic accidents and completes appropriate reports; issues citations for traffic law violations; and assists with regulation of parking. Provides security for special university events. Apprehends, arrests, and files charges on suspects when appropriate. Testifies in court or at administrative hearings concerning violations and offenses. Provides escort for bank deposits or money transfers within the university. Completes oral and written or computerized reports related to department activities. Provides emergency services and temporary first aid treatment as required. Investigates incidents that are violations of the law, university's rules, or the Student Code of Conduct, or that may be of interest to the university. Provides motorist assists, escorts, or other non-emergency services as directed. Performs related duties as assigned.
Minimum Qualifications:
Must be a full-time or part-time law enforcement officer for the State of Mississippi and be able to provide evidence that certifications are current. Must be in good standing with the agency for which law enforcement certification is maintained. Must be 21 years of age, possess a high school diploma or equivalent, and be a U.S. citizen.
Preferred Qualifications:
One year of law enforcement experience.
Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities:
Excellent verbal and written communication skills. Knowledge and skills in computer applications.
Working Conditions and Physical Effort
Good physical condition. Must be able to work a variety of shifts, out-of-doors, and in a variety of assignments including foot patrol. Must be able to deal with stressful situations, including life threatening incidents. Must not object to using force against another person when legally justified.

Under general direction of the Director of Institutional Research, support new and existing development under the University’s Central Analytic Platform in support of institutional effectiveness.
Duties include: serve as liaison between Institutional Research and Data Engineering/Data Science to ensure data and data models align with IR and University reporting needs; assist in developing new and existing live and longitudinal extract data models, verifying accuracy and consistency over time and in the context of evolving reporting requirements; design and develop dashboards for the University community to support data-informed decisions across campus; develop research methods to address requests for information from senior administration, deans, department chairs, faculty, and other stakeholders across campus; support Board of Trustees, Academic Program Review, KPI, CDS, and IPEDS reporting processes; assist in maintaining the University’s Facts & Figures; answer ad hoc requests, prepare institutional responses to internal and external queries related to admissions, enrollment, student outcomes, and faculty and staff recruitment and development; gather business requirements and participate in an agile dashboard development lifecycle; review dashboards for quality assurance/quality control; curate reports and dashboard to ensure data products uphold appropriate levels of confidentiality and privacy commensurate with data set; promote and ensure consistency of data and definitions across multiple data domains and reporting contexts within the University; monitor data integrity tests of underlying systems and platform; prepare and stage ad hoc or manually maintained data for inclusion into the data warehouse; write and maintain documentation on dashboards, models, business rules and presentation standards; maintain an ongoing program of professional development through membership, paper presentations, and active involvement in professional organizations.

CONTEXT OF THE JOB:
Under general supervision of the Customer Service Supervisor, provides customer service and operational support for Facilities Services & Campus Planning (FS&CP). The primary role is to interpret customer needs and process work requests and coordinate work activities of FS&CP departments such as M&O, Custodial, Grounds, and Movers. The incumbent also researches and provides information on a wide range of Facilities-related inquiries from customers, management, and staff. Independent judgment and discretion are required to resolve routine and non-routine issues.
This position is considered an essential position. When the University closes or opens late, the person in this position must work their full shift. Must have reliable means of transportation to ensure attendance during inclement weather conditions that may or may not result in a University closure. Must be available for work during seasonal high-volume periods based on the academic calendar and operational needs.
MAJOR RESPONSIBILITIES:
Communicate and interact effectively in a diverse University community of students, faculty, staff, mechanics, technicians, managers, visitors, contractors, and others.
Receive and process requests for service from the University community via phone, electronic forms, email, two-way radio, and walk-up customers.
Gather accurate, complete, pertinent information regarding service requests or other inquiries.
Monitor calls for maintenance emergencies such as power outages, gas leaks, floods, etc. Handle emergencies appropriately per Standard Operating Procedures (SOP) and use good judgment when emergent situations don’t have SOP.
Use sound judgment and reference materials to determine the proper response. Dispatch technicians and/or call managers when appropriate.
Utilize Computerized Maintenance Management System (CMMS) to create work orders and enter pertinent information. Research CMMS data and provide information to customers or management as assigned.
Research Miss Utility (MU) locate requests, create work orders if appropriate, update the MU system and interface with requestors such as contractors and project managers.
Process Facilities Notification System (FNS) requests into notifications to the University community. Utilize FNS to stay abreast of projects that may cause customer calls.
Reconcile after-hours EM, Boiler Base, and Call-In logs into work orders or other appropriate summary for managers.
Monitor request for billing-related issues such as reimbursable work, RFS requirements, purpose codes and labor/material charges as they pertain to FREAS response and work orders.
Write, review, and/or update SOPs and other documentation.
Performs lead role on a primary function such as trainer; contact & reference administrator; Customer Response Matrix (CRM) administrator.
Performs support role on primary functions not assigned as the lead.
Provides other operational support such as staffing the UDPD Command Post for events such as football games and Commencement.
Creates and/or reviews, then publishes notification requests and updates in the Facilities Notification System (Creator-level system privileges). Communicates with requestors and customers as needed to ensure accurate and properly disseminated information.
Provides input for recruitment and initial 90-day assessment of the office’s miscellaneous wage, work study, and regular student workers.
Perform other job-related duties as assigned.
QUALIFICATIONS:
Minimum of a high school diploma or GED with three years of related experience, or equivalent combination of education and experience. Experience in a dispatching center or call center is a plus.
Strong verbal communication skills including the ability to speak with people from diverse backgrounds.
Excellent customer service, public relations, interpersonal, and written communications skills.
Effective organizational and memory skills to cope with periods of high call volume.
Effective business writing skills to summarize problems and updates to a wide constituency.
Excellent data entry skills, attention to detail, and commitment to accuracy.
Ability to handle stressful periods such as maintenance emergencies, high profile events, or high call volume.
Ability to adapt to ad hoc changes as well as recurring SOP revisions and changes.
Ability to prioritize and multi-task.
Independent judgment and decision-making skills.
Intermediate computer skills, with emphasis on searching functions in all types of business software (CMMS, email, internet, spreadsheets, all formats of documents, etc.). Ability to use basic summary/analysis spreadsheet functions. MAXIMO CMMS experience is a plus.
Ability to interpret University policies and applicable regulations and anticipate, evaluate and take appropriate action to resolve problems that impact service delivery preferred.
Basic knowledge of trades and tools, or able to quickly learn through self-training on-the-job.
Ability to enter critical data during phone conversations.
