Essential Functions include:

  • Planning, implementing, and monitoring patients in the clinic and post-care follow-up communications.
  • Coordinating nursing care, providing direct patient care, outpatient infusion therapies, lab reviews, and procedure results.
  • Dispensing medication and maintaining records.
  • Administers investigational medications and performs patient assessments during clinic visits to determine presence of side effects; notifies Principal Investigator of findings/issues Assuring adverse events are reported timely.
  • Assisting in maintaining medication accountability records; preparing clinical specimens for shipment to central Laboratories; maintaining delegation logs.
  • Performing procedures as needed.
  • Identification and communicating with prospective recipients, coordinate care delivery with Clinics, Coordinators, medical teams, Pharmacy and Healthcare providers.
  • Research Quality nursing care for patients participating in clinical trials includes the collaboration of care with research teams to ensure quality care and accurate & timely data collection. Assisting CTSI team members as needed to ensure the continuation of services. The RN will function within the UF Nursing Professional Practice Model, which includes accountability for planning, implementing, evaluating, and communicating all phases of nursing care for assigned patients.

**Personal Protective Equipment (PPE) will be provided and are required to perform this role with patients and members onsite, as this is an essential function of this role.

This position is as needed. Must be available to work nights and weekends

Expected Salary:

$35.00 hourly

Minimum Requirements:

• Registered Nurse in the State of Florida
• Current BLS
• Current ACLS

Preferred Qualifications:
  • Minimum of 1+ years of experience working as an RN in a clinical care setting that contributes to proficiency in infusion therapy (such as medical-surgical unit, emergency department, intensive care unit, post-anesthesia care unit, or similar environment).
  • Clinical Research Nurse experience and/or board certification Clinical research professional certification Experience with electronic medical record systems preferred.
  • Excellent communication skills (verbal and written).
  • Experience working independently and in a team environment.
  • Ability to adapt to unpredictable situations within the work setting.
  • Demonstrated leadership, effective communication, and excellent critical thinking skills.
  • Temperament:

◦ Candidates may perform under stress when confronted with emergency, critical, or unusual situations.

◦ Must be capable of dealing with periodic cyclical workload pressures and levels of responsibility.

◦ Required to make independent judgments without supervision.

◦ Requires the ability to work with people beyond giving and receiving instructions
